I got this recipe from Yahoo Food and wanted to try this one out. One of my favorite food is Buffalo Wings, we use to order it at Outback Steakhouse, they also have it at OJ's in Libis, they have it Pizza Hut, each has their own version my favorite though is Wings from Twister at Eastwood Cinema but it is now gone and can't find it anywhere else. They have this sweet and spicy taste that I can't find in any Buffalo Wings.
The ingredients of this recipe looks like it will taste like the one's in Twisters and the procedure looks very easy.
Ingredients:
1. 14 scallions, coarsely chopped
2. 14 garlic cloves, coarsely chopped
3. 3/4 cup chopped, peeled fresh ginger
4. 10 anchovy fillets, coarsely chopped
5. 3 tablespoons crushed red pepper
6. 3/4 cup light brown sugar
7. 6 tablespoons soy sauce
8. 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
9. 2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
10. 2 teaspoons kosher salt
11. 1 cup pineapple juice
12. 14 pounds chicken wings
Directions
1. In a food processor, blend the scallions with the garlic, ginger, anchovies and crushed red pepper. Add the brown sugar, soy sauce, oil, black pepper and salt; blend. Add the pineapple juice.
2. Make small slashes on the meaty parts of the chicken wings. Spread the wings in 2 very large roasting pans and pour the marinade on top. Rub the marinade into the wings. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Bring to room temperature before roasting.
3. Preheat the oven to 500 degrees F. Arrange the wings in a single layer on large, oiled, rimmed baking sheets; pour any remaining marinade on top. Roast the wings on as many shelves as possible, rotating the pans, for 1 hour, or until the wings are deeply browned and crisp. Serve piping hot.
Yield: 12 servings

ABS CBN and GMA 7 Channel War
Stop It! Stop It! Stop It! I hate hearing anything related to this two TV station fighting over who is on top of the rating. I am developing an allergic reaction to any words, any commercials, any news on TV or radio related to the fight.
I seldom watch the television but if I watch it I choose Channel 2, so I am a Kapamilya. I only watch Coffee Prince on GMA after that I turn it off. I am better off watching CSI, Prison Break, Pushing Daisies, Monk, House and others. I even rarely watch the news or read the newspaper.
According to Dr. Amelita de Guzman, our professor in Socio class, these people or establishment who promotes customer service are only after one thing. PROFIT! If they really care about their client, about their viewers you can see it in their programs. Even if they are the least in the rank if they really care then they are worth every hour or minute that we watch them.
So what is connection if the Lopez group owns Skycable? Is there a relationship to their claim? That Channel 7 has a bad reception in a cable TV? I am not so sure because we have a cable and it's not Sky and the reception for Channel 7 is also bad.
I may be bias because I used to work for the Lopez group, maybe I am saying this out of loyalty but I know that I am keeping an open mind. I just don't accept any claim, any accusation without a real basis. That is how a scientist and a rational person thinks. I am a rational person, I am a scientific person. If the rating of GMA is really tampered, then it is tampered, if after all the tampering and still GMA is no 1, so be it. I'll still continue watching ABS CBN shows.
So If you asked around, majority may seem to be watching GMA shows, but the count in a barangay is not enough to generalize it to all. Maybe those watching ABS CBN program are too rich or too unapproachable to install an AGB Nielsen cable monitor so they are already out of the list.
If you randomly select a barangay, random means anyone has every chance of being included and if you randomly pick a rich household, are you going to insist that you install an AGB monitor? They would not do that, they care too much about their privacy, they do not want anyone monitoring what they watch.
I have this theory that those who watch shows on ABS CBN are more refined, more professional, more calm than those watching GMA 7 shows. In short, people watching GMA shows are (sorry for the word), "jologs" some people do not want to be called this name. I may be generalizing, that is a fault. Sorry if you are a Kapuso.
The shows are really not appealing to me. Oh maybe, I also watch Jessica Soho but not regularly.
THis is just a theory ok, no hard feelings.

Paypal Withdrawable to Philippine Banks
Just found out the news that you can withdraw your Paypal money to Philippine Bank. I checked my paypal account and indeed it has added this feature. If your money is more than Php 7,000.00 the cost is free but if it is less, you will be deducted Php 50.00.
I got this information from pinoymoneytalks .
Before you can use it you need a 9-digit bank code. Maybe I should increase my money first before trying out this one. Some banks are not yet available since they launch it only this week. Better wait for others to try it first and see if they could really withdraw their money to their banks.

Lea Salonga's Blog at Multiply
Lea has been my idol for years, well aside from Sharon Cuneta, I was joking my students that I used to like Sharon now I like KC. I've overgrown Sharon but never Lea Salonga. I am posting her entry here and I took it from this site.
This is Me by Lea Salonga
I am 36 years old and a work in progress, but I've got a pretty good handle on who I am.
I speak with honesty and frankness, sometimes to someone else's consternation. I shoot from the hip and have no censors; you'll know exactly where I stand. I do try to phrase things delicately when facing a sensitive issue, but for the most part you'll get me unfiltered.
I've wined and dined in finer places, but am more comfortable with an ice cold beer in my hand and my fingers greased from beer food. I'm loud and happy when I'm intoxicated, and am never belligerent. I would much rather avoid confrontation than to launch an all-out war, but am not afraid if the latter is necessary and called for. I speak softly and respectfully, and I see no need to hurl expletives, especially with people I love (except when they're being total and complete jackasses).
I'm fiercely loyal to my loved ones, and would put them first over any business associate. My family comes first before all else, excepting God. I'm not above hearing juicy gossip, but I won't ever spread it around as I wouldn't want the same done to and about me.
When someone wrongs me, and I see that person in a public setting, you can bet that I will ignore rather than greet. If you don't like me, then leave me the hell alone. Chances are I don't like you either.
I abhor unprofessional behavior and any violation of this business's spoken and unspoken ethics. No one has the right to behave like a diva. I demand excellence from everyone I work with, but want everyone to have a good time too. I'm a great partner, and will never steal a scene from someone else, as I'd rather make him or her look good. Although I'm great fun to work with, I do my job with the utmost seriousness. I will get things done. I take pride in my work and strive for nothing short of perfection with each attempt.
This is me.
I see myself in her except for the talent part, I also speak honestly and do not care if people like me or not. I do not want to be a pretender, what you see is what you get and most of the time they do not like what they see because I do not kiss ass. I would treat any president of any company like I treat my father or like I treat anyone else so people in high places or is very status oriented would find me disrespectful.
Just like what Professor Higgins said in Pygmalion, "treat everyone like you were in heaven where there are no second class citizen and no one is above or below you, all are angels." I believe in equality and I hate favoritism of any kind. But I guess, we are all human with weaknesses. We fall for money, for power, for fame for anything that would satisfy our needs, so favoring someone more I guess is not a crime, it is just merely an exchange of needs. You get what you need sacrifice something.

Cyma Greek Tavern at The Ledge Shangrila
Since it was my birthday last Wednesday, we decided to try out this restaurant at the Shangrila Mall. We have a lot of choices actually. There is Claw Daddy, Tender Bobs, Crustacia, Penang, Sumo Sam and on the other side there is Cocorama, Wok Express, a Vietnamese Restaurant etc. We ended up dining at this Greek restaurant because it was the only restaurant that is overflowing with guests.
So we reserved our seats and when it was our turn went inside and checked the menu, Whoa! I'm seeing a lot of letter K and letter Rs. Although the menu has pictures and descriptions of the food, we are undecided what to order. Irwin doesn't want to order because upon seeing the menu he was reminded of his Israel days where all he can eat was pita bread, chicken, salad and lamb. I could almost hear him say "blech" and let his tongue out.
I was not with him in Israel so I'd like to try the food, I ordered Roka Pasta to share costing 380.00. I was surprised when it arrived, I thought it was a salad because there was a lot of unfamiliar leaves on top. I was about to decline it when they placed it on the table and then I saw the pasta. I was more surprised when it didn't contain any tomato sauce but only olive oil.
It tasted like Charlie Chan's Pasta at Yellow Cab because there were nuts and due to my ignorance, I tasted one of the leaves and it was very bitter, so it is not good to eat. Half of the pasta has the leaves.
We also ordered their special iced tea costing 60.00 per glass and 80.00 for refillable ice tea. It tastes different all right, I could taste some flowers in it.
We also tried HTIPITI costing 105.00. It was pita bread with blue cheese with baked green pepper. A little spicy combined with the salty taste of the cheese. Together with the pasta, we could not finish eating it, we were already full with the pasta maybe because of the olive oil, in tagalog "nakakasuya".
Maybe the Greek food was designed for dieters so they could only eat a little. There were still a lot of main menu and appetizers if ever you happen to try this restaurant. Minimum cost per order would be 150.00 and it is good for two naman.
Other guests only tried their salad, one order costs 280 and the bigger size costs 380 a difference of 100 pesos.
Since it was my birthday, I was the only woman in the room with flowers, nope it did not come from Cyma but from Irwin.
