TIPS in Looking for A Hotel Wedding Reception

If you are looking for a hotel to do your wedding preparations or wedding reception, the very first thing that you have to consider is the presence and competence of the medical team or if they have a medical team.

Number One: Check the availability of the doctors
Number Two: Check the schedule of the nurses
Number Three: Check if the receptionist is also the nurse
Number four: Check if they have a stand by ambulance
Number Five: Check if they have a stand by vehicle
Number six: Check if they have adequate medical equipment like the presence of an OXYGEN
Number seven: Is it possible that the diploma of the doctors and nurses be displayed inside the room?
Number eight: Do not schedule a heart attack after lunch time.

I was at a hospital one day and was able to talk to a mother who lost his husband attending a wedding reception, we also have to consider the health of the ninongs and ninangs, our parents, other senior citizens attending the wedding, lolos and lolas.

Especially now that stroke and heart attack strikes when we least expect it.
It is better to be prepared all the time.

Diet Plan from Medical City - Low Cholesterol HIgh Fiber - No Exercise

Just want to share the diet plan we got from the Medical City, my husband was confined for three days because his blood pressure is around 220/110. This was during their annual physical examination. It was alarming, he immediately brought himself to the emergency section of The Medical City where he was also confined. When he was discharged we got this diet plan from a nutritionist/dietician.

After following the plan, I lost 14 pounds in 3-4 months. My husband lost 10 pounds. We are still continuing this diet but made some modifications. The most important thing I believed that I experienced when following this diet is that the crave for sweet and sugar is lessened. You can actually detect the presence of sugar, you become sugar sensitive and so you tend to avoid sweets. This is also the same with salty food, you also become salt-sensitive. I do not crave for junk food again, potato chips etc. Occasionally I can eat them but I can't finish the whole thing.

The greatest blessing with losing weight is that I was able to get pregnant again. Maybe because my hormones normalized and so is with my husband.

What I Will Miss When We Transfer to Our House

These are some of the things that I will miss when we will transfer to our new house beside my parent's house.
 1. Maybe I will miss my mother-in-law's cooking but its been two months since I've eaten there. I can't be on diet.
2. We have a bigger room here than our own room in our new house.
3. We have a bathtub and we do not have one in our new house, though I have only used it maybe three times?
4. The space. The space in Cainta is very large because it has a garage and a dirty kitchen and laundry outside, in our new house, it's a small 49 square meter, here we have at least 120 square meter.

I do not have a lot of good memories in this house, because this is where I had a miscarriage.
I just realized that I am a better person before I got married and staying married and staying in this house does not improve my personality but I got worse.

It's really true that a person changes her personality depending on the situation and condition.

I remember that I am always happy being in my parent's house because that is where I find comfort, just the simple gesture of sitting and raising your feet up and talking in a loud voice is so liberating.

I have no good memories only bad ones.

The song "I want to break free" is always on my mind because this is what I really feel. Just a few more months and I can't wait to break free.

My Sister's Wedding

Four days from now is Mother’s Day and yet Mama is still in a comatose state at the ICU of a hospital. It was the wedding day of my older sister and we were busy preparing at a hotel. I was on the second floor of the hotel together with the bride and my other sisters to have our pictures taken when Mama was unconscious. Mama was left at the hotel room with my father and two brothers at that time since she said that she has to pee and they will just follow suit. After peeing, Mama experienced difficulty in breathing at the hotel room that prompted my brother to request assistance from the front desk for wheelchair. When Mama fell unconscious, they rushed her outside the room and went for the elevator. My brother also noted that the hotel staffs were just standing when they saw them carry Mama to the elevator. Little did we know that while we were smiling in front of the camera on the second floor of the hotel, there was already a commotion in the hotel lobby. My brother was furious as there was no doctor on standby at that time and no standby vehicle for such emergencies. Oh, but they do have a standby vehicle reserved for a guest who will be picked up from the airport! They did not even request an ambulance from Medical City and just gave a very lame excuse that it would take longer if we would wait for an ambulance instead of rushing Mama to Medical City. Fortunately, a part of the wedding entourage was at the drop off area of the hotel and they just used his vehicle to bring Mama to the hospital. The Nurse on Duty was with them but it was obvious that she didn’t know what to do for no first aid treatment has been administered to Mama and she just kept on taking Mama’s blood pressure even if she was already unconscious! She didn’t even bother to check along the way if Mama has a pulse. My brother contacted his friend who was a pediatrician at Medical City that they were coming and to coordinate the matter to ER. Alas, Mama arrived with no vitals and was just revived by the ER team of Medical City. Total revival time took 14 minutes which is around 15 minutes since it was a Friday and the start of the three-day Mega Sale. Her lack of oxygen for more than ten minutes resulted in her comatose state, and according to her doctors she scored 3 in the Glasgow Coma Scale, the lowest score, meaning she was unresponsive to any kind of pain inflicted on her. What started as a festive day ended in a somber mood, anxiety was seen in our faces during the ceremony. What should be the ‘best day ever’ of my Ate became the ‘worst day ever’, including ours too. I just fervently hope that we can celebrate Mama’s 69th birthday on May 11 in a private room, and with her eyes opened, instead of celebrating it at the ICU.

Impressive Politicians: Maybe They Are Made?

I was never impressed with any politician. When I look at the billboards I looked at their tummy and would judge them according to the size of their waistline. That I think would indicate a balanced person, one who can still exercise. One who still has health. While doing the Visita Iglesia, I chanced upon a senatorial candidate and was greatly surprised to see a very old, old man which is the opposite of his picture in his campaign photo. Then I continuously check for a whole body or even half body photo of candidates. I find a few pictures with half body photo. All are facial shots. Photoshopped. The Mayors, the Senators, Congressmen etc. and even the Baranggay Captains and Councilors are PUBLIC SERVANTS. I once tried to get a barangay clearance and I've seen a councilor, fully dressed, exuding power and authority. Then, I thought, this is not how a public servant should act. But all of this will change once election and the campaign period starts. Suddenly, you find them so friendly and approachable.
